Chrome Control MCP companion 0.1.8 / Mac native revision 9 / Windows revision 8 Signed and notarized Mac packages; Windows preview Extension 0.1.8 Chrome Web Store approval and availability are not yet verified. The extension's live icon turns red after authenticating to the companion and returns to normal when disconnected. Its status and hover text can show names reported by connected MCP clients. These names are not verified identities; the indicator does not mean a tool action is currently in progress. Chrome's own debugger banner is unchanged and its visibility depends on Chrome. This public build requires no private update account. Automatic companion updates are disabled; upgrade the companion manually using a reviewed new package. Chrome Web Store extension updates are separate and depend on Store approval and Chrome delivery. An uploaded extension is not an approved release. Keep your existing companion configuration and pairing records. Install into a new versioned location and update the MCP client's entry to that installation. Do not delete your user data to upgrade. Do not replace a separately managed installation with this manual-update flavor without reviewing that change. Optional remembered-browser pairing is off by default. On supported macOS setups, explicit matching-code approval is required in both the extension and the companion. Approval persists until revoked or forgotten. Windows native remembered enrollment is not supported; ordinary per-run pairing remains. Lightweight installers ask before downloading a missing, pinned Node.js runtime from nodejs.org. Declining cancels installation. The manual ZIP includes the locked dependencies but requires a supported Node.js runtime already installed. Full Mac packages include their runtime and are available from the public download host. The Windows full installer remains unavailable on this Site. The complete missing-runtime download flow has not passed end-to-end testing. Mac revision 9 packages are Developer ID signed and notarized. Exact final download bytes, signatures, staples and Gatekeeper assessments passed. Apple Silicon per-user full PKG installation and installed MCP initialization passed. The actual browser-downloaded lightweight setup app passed Gatekeeper launch; its cancel action left nothing installed. This is not complete lightweight runtime-download acceptance. Intel-native execution and older supported macOS versions remain unverified. Windows revision 8 packages are unsigned; native Windows installer acceptance remains unverified. Do not disable operating-system security to run a blocked download. Checksums identify exact files and are separate from publisher signatures and platform runtime testing. Voluntary support funds software upkeep and future features. It does not change access or unlock features. Stripe monthly options are AUD5, AUD10 and AUD20; Stripe and PayPal also offer one-off, user-chosen amounts. PayPal recipient: Leo Software. Review currency, recurrence and any fees before payment.
